QUESTION:

I have a CBS -2032e Fetco Coffee brewer at my coffee shop. My problem is water comes out less than it is supposed to. I reprogrammed it and increased water volume in parameter 1-1, but still comes out short. Originally it was programmed as follows for a full brew.

Ian,

I am not sure how long you have had this coffee brewer so I am not sure if you have the spray plate on or the cascading spray dome for a spray head. 

Regardless however this sounds like an issue with the spray plate. (The spray plate is a round disc with 12 holes in it for the water to pass through and onto the coffee grounds)

It is possible that the holes are clogged on the spray plate. To remove the spray plate, first make sure that the spray plate has cooled so it can be safely removed. Then very carefully loosen the knurled nut in center of spray plate bearing in mind that there is water held above the plate and when you loosen the plate it will drop out.

Once you have the spray removed from the brewer, you will want to poke a tooth pick through all twelve holes, even if it does not look dirty insert the tooth pick in the holes and ream them out. Reinstall the spray plate being careful not to cross thread the knurled nut.

Run a full brew and check your volume. The brewer should be providing the volume needed now. If however the brewer is not please contact me again and I will give you other possible causes of this issue.
