Ask the Expert: Selecting the Right Coffee Brewer
QUESTION:
Hi Shane-
I have a customer who has vertical space requirements and would like to brew in to a one gallon shuttle. I know the 2032e is capable of this, but I am concerned about over-potting, brew times and of course coffee quality. My first option for brewing into the one gallon urn is the 2042e for it’s ability to brew excellent coffee in a timely manner and into 3 liter and one gallon servers with equal quality.
My customer is awaiting your input.
Thanks,
Konrad

ANSWER:
Konrad,
The CBS 2032e is a perfect brewer for using as a one gallon brewer. The 2032e has the exact same dispense valve and CSD as a 2042e does so it can produce the exact same results. The only thing that you need to do is change the brewer volume settings from liters to gallons at parameter 58 and you will be good to go. The long and the short of it is that you will get the same quality out of a 1 gal brew and out of a 3 liter brew as you do out of a 2042e.
Now if you want to have all of the same features of a 2042e in a 2032e then you should spec for a 2032s. The 2032s is the exact same dimensions and the 2032e but it has brew basket locks and by-pass valves just like the 2042e.
In the long run I believe that both you and your customer will be happy with the 2032s and it’s performance.
