Ask The Expert

What? Why? How?
Everyday customers have questions. This is not a surprise. This is not a complaint. It is a statement of fact. What electrical configuration do I need? How do I get into programming? Why is the brewer short potting? How do I make adjustments for high altitude locations? What is short potting anyway? Isn't there something else you could call it besides short potting -- it doesn't sound nice?

True. It doesn't sound nice, but that is what it is called. We have to be ready to handle emergency questions as well as questions that aren't emergencies, but are still very important to our customers.

We reach customers in a variety of ways: Customer service, technical support, webinars, the sales team, podcasts, a blog and the web site. The challenge is to reach them in new and meaningful ways.

Hey, Shane. Help!
Our Director of Corporate Training, Shane Blais, is a great guy. Here's why: You can ask him anything about our equipment and he not only knows the answer, he treats you like you have asked an important question. He truly doesn't consider any question a dumb question. I know this from personal experience. I have asked him some really dumb questions. I am not a plumber or an electrician. Single phase, triple phase?? Crazy talk to me until Shane explained it (several times) in terms I could understand.

Our new web series, Ask The Expert, will feature short video clips of Shane answering your questions. Email him at asktheexpert@fetco.com. Go ahead. Ask him anything about our equipment. Chances are if you need the answer to a question, someone else does, too. The purpose of this series is to inform and educate. Questions can be anything from technical to operational. Our first video answers the question "What is the difference between the metal spray plate and the new Cascading Spray Dome?". We will launch this new series within the next 2 weeks. Please let me know what you think.
